Canada’s mostly Quebec-based aluminum sector will receive its “fair share” of a newly announced $5 billion fund to help businesses impacted by U.S. tariffs, according to Industry Minister Mélanie Joly.

Joly’s comments came after Prime Minister Mark Carney announced a series of new measures on Sept. 5 for workers and businesses impacted by U.S. tariffs.
