‘TWITTER is one of the world’s most recognized brands, and it belongs to X Corp. Simply put, a rebrand is not an abandonment of trademark rights,’ X said.

Elon Musk’s X Corp. has sued a social media startup company named Operation Bluebird Inc., accusing it of trying to “steal the world-famous Twitter brand.”

In a lawsuit filed on Dec. 16, X claimed that the Twitter brand is alive and well and still owned by Musk’s company. Operation Bluebird on Dec. 2 requested the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office cancel X’s Twitter trademarks, arguing abandonment of the brand.
