One in three car brands sold in Australia will be Chinese-owned this year as the country grapples with the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing efforts to dump EVs in overseas markets.

According to new data by the Australian Automotive Dealer Association (AADA), the number of car brands or makes sold in the country will hit a record of 67 in 2026, up from 39 five years ago.
