A B.C. man who was convicted in a stabbing in 2022 and granted early release in the summer of 2024 has now been charged with manslaughter in relation to a fatal stabbing in 2025, according to Vancouver police.
David Richard Morin, 32, has been charged in the Sept. 3, 2025, stabbing death of 54-year-old Michael Smadu in east Vancouver, police said in a press release.
