Former Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro will reappear in a New York courtroom on March 26 as he attempts to get his drug trafficking indictment thrown out over an international dispute regarding his legal fees.

Maduro’s lawyer, Barry Pollack, argues that the United States violated the ousted leader’s constitutional rights by preventing the Venezuelan regime from using funds to cover his legal expenses.
