The head of a body representing global airlines said on April 8 that it would take months for jet fuel supplies to recover, even if Iran fully reopened the Strait of Hormuz.
Willie Walsh, director general of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), told reporters in Singapore on Wednesday that he expected crude oil prices to fall but that jet fuel costs were likely to remain slightly elevated due to refinery disruptions.
