A former Southern Ontario sports coach who was charged with sexual assault last year faces new charges after being accused of coaching youth despite his prohibition from having contact with anyone younger than 16.

Markham, Ont., resident Garth Morris was arrested last summer after police reported that a youth victim had come forward in May, alleging multiple sexual assaults by their coach between 2017 and 2021, York Regional Police said in a press release. The alleged victim was younger than 16 at the time.
