The B.C. Conservative Party has removed MLA Hon Chan from its ranks after learning the Richmond Centre representative was charged this week with assault by choking in a case involving alleged domestic violence.
Chan is also facing assault and uttering threat charges, the BC Prosecution Service said in a March 26 statement.
