Senate Finance Chair Bo Watson on Wednesday stripped $6.2 million in education funding from the nearly $1 billion special session funding bill. The money had been earmarked for Sevier County, which happens to be represented by two senators who may not vote for Gov. Bill Lee’s school voucher bill.
