Anthony Kaznakoff faces several charges in incident
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Daytona Beach community is recovering after a recent shooting at South Turn Lounge Bar and Grill left three people hospitalized.
Daytona Beach Police said the shooting happened June 20, at the business on Nova Road, when 28-year-old Anthony Kaznakoff was asked to leave by brothers and co-owners Tyler and Damien Greene because of his behavior. According to police, Kaznakoff returned minutes later and opened fire, discharging 18 shots toward the entrance.
Three people were struck by gunfire: Tyler Greene, and a husband and wife. Tyler was shot in the leg, suffering a compound fracture, and was then shot again in the lower back as he tried to protect others, said Mary Benson, in a one-on-one interview with News 6.

“It’s been difficult. Tyler’s in a lot of pain. It’s a long, difficult, painful road to recovery. But there’s also the emotional part for both boys, what they went through… It’s still a lot,” Benson said.
Tyler Greene remains in the hospital after three surgeries and faces at least eight more weeks before he can walk again, Benson said.
“They’re just kids, you know? They’re just trying to make this business go… They didn’t do anything wrong. Somebody was harassing people, and then shots fired, shots,” Benson said.
Benson described the scene as chaotic but credited former Marines who were at the lounge for providing lifesaving aid. “It was fortunate there were some Marines here. They put a tourniquet on his leg, and that made a difference. The doctors said the tourniquet likely saved his life,” she said.
Police responded within three minutes and apprehended Kaznakoff within an hour. He now faces multiple charges, including three counts of attempted murder, aggravated battery, and using a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.
“This is a safe place… They work really hard. I just hope people won’t stay away. It could have been any one of these businesses. We just want people to come together and support each other,” Benson said.
A fundraiser is planned for 6-9 p.m. on July 7 to help with medical expenses for all three victims as the lounge owners and staff continue their recovery.
