U.S. stocks and gold have both reached record highs, reflecting a bifurcated investor mindset: optimism in risk assets alongside a flight to safety.
Since the springtime tariff-driven selloff, the U.S. stock market has been booming. The blue-chip Dow Jones Industrial Average, the broader S&P 500, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index have been routinely registering fresh record highs this year.
