Webster Electric donates $10K to Honor Flight of the Ozarks
Webster Electric Cooperative donated $10,000 to Honor Flight of the Ozarks this month to help offset costs of taking veterans to Washington, D.C.
The grant, funded by Webster Electric’s Round Up program, will help support the flights, which each cost about $190,000 to cover the charter of a 737 aircraft, buses in Washington, meals for attendees and other expenses.
Three Honor Flights are planned in 2025, the first on May 28. Starting this year, flights will land in Dulles International Airport in Washington rather than Reagan National Airport, where lack of gate space has caused delayed returns to Springfield in the past.
