BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – The Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College celebrated a major milestone on Monday.
On Dec. 2, the college held a pinning ceremony for the first graduating class of its Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.
The MLT program equips students with the academic and applied science education needed to become medical laboratory professionals.
Graduates are trained to perform critical tests that analyze body fluids, tissue, and other substances in essential areas, including immunohematology, microbiology, hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and immunology, per the release.
All eleven graduates have secured employment at regional healthcare institutions.
This year’s MLT program graduates are: Angel Blankenship, Caitlyn Durham, Dawson Deel, Claire Eaton, Mailey Ford, Hannah Griffin, Hayley Miller, Victoria Newland, Meghan Walz, Megan Word, and Kadie Whitson.
