Porsche Cars North America, Inc. has issued a recall of 173,538 vehicles manufactured during the past six years due to a software issue that causes the rear-view camera to not properly display images when the vehicles are shifted into reverse.

The recall, which was announced on Dec. 31 in a post on X by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA), said the recall affects 88,810 Porsche Cayenne and Cayenne E-Hybrid cars, 34,148 Taycan models, 6,452 Panamera and Panamera E-Hybrid vehicles, and 44,128 Porsche 911 sports cars.
