American Honda Motor Corporation is recalling 440,830 Honda Odyssey minivans due to a software programming error that could lead to the side and curtain airbags in the second- and third-row seats inadvertently deploying during rough driving conditions.

Honda said in a recall report filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and posted on X on April 15 that the minivans are model years 2018–2022 and were manufactured between January of 2017 and June of 2022. Honda Manufacturing of Alabama began producing minivans at the facility in Lincoln in 2001.
