Eduardo Gonçalves Debuts Anti-Trophy Hunting Book Trilogy on 10th Anniversary of Cecil the Lion’s Death

Eduardo Goncalves, founder of the Campaign to Ban Trophy Hunting, at the “Trophy Hunting: The Case for a UK Import/Export Ban” event held in the Houses of Parliament, London, on Jan. 22, 2020. Paul Nicholls | www.paulnichollsphotography.com

Raised in London, Eduardo Gonçalves has enjoyed a storied career, penning speeches for British politicians, directing a Middle Eastern government department, stewarding various charities, and running an organic olive and cork farm in Portugal, where his parents were originally from.

For the better part of three decades, the bestselling author has also worked tirelessly to support animal welfare issues. His farm has become a sanctuary for stray and abandoned cats, he once led an undercover operation to dismantle one of Europe’s largest dogfighting syndicates, and he even helped save the Iberian lynx from the brink of extinction.
