Sifted & Sweet Baking Co. will open Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 800 Holiday Drive, Suite 176, in Moorhead.

MOORHEAD — The cookies are coming! The cookies are coming!

The Forum recently reported that Sifted & Sweet Baking Co., will open its bakery/lunch spot in mid-February, and owner Lindsay Piekutowski has now lasered in on a date: Feb. 18.

Piekutowski announced via Facebook that the eatery will hold its grand opening from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 800 Holiday Drive, Suite 176 in Moorhead.

Piekutowski, who is folding Finnish specialties into her rotating roster of from-scratch cookies, muffins, cakes, bars and scones, also announced she would serve korvapuusti (cinnamon rolls) and caramel rolls as part of her grand opening celebration.

The Chamber is now accepting Leadership FMWF applications

The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber is now accepting applications for the 2026 Leadership Fargo Moorhead West Fargo program. The program is designed to equip individuals with the skills, knowledge and connections needed to thrive as leaders and make a meaningful impact in their workplaces and communities. Participants will explore critical issues facing the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo area, connect with leaders from various industries and collaborate on community-focused projects.

This Chamber program is open to individuals who are passionate about personal and professional growth, whether they are emerging leaders or seasoned professionals. The program welcomes participants from all industries and backgrounds who are ready to engage deeply with their community and peers.

The group meets monthly from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., typically in the metro area. The 2025 session begins in August of 2025 and ends in May of 2026.

ND Commerce Dept. now accepting business loan applications

The North Dakota Department of Commerce has reopened the Legacy Investment for Technology (LIFT) application process. This funding opportunity drives economic growth fueling innovative North Dakota businesses.

Eligible industries include advanced computing and data management, agricultural technology, autonomous and uncrewed vehicles, energy, healthcare, value-added agriculture, value-added energy, and any area identified by the LIFT Committee as contributing to the state’s economic diversification.

Applications for the LIFT program will be accepted through March 14. A total of $1.75 million in loan funding will be available for successful applicants.
