WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump issued an executive order on Nov. 24 establishing the “Genesis Mission,” a national effort to leverage the federal government’s scientific data to fuel advanced computing and machine learning opportunities for the benefit of Americans.
The plan includes using data sets from the Department of Energy’s National Laboratory and other resources to foster scientific advancements.
