For the first time since 2019, more Americans are moving out rather than into the nation’s flood-prone areas.
A Nov. 6 Redfin report revealed that high-flood-risk counties saw 29,027 more people move out than in. By comparison, low-flood-risk counties saw 35,941 more people move in than out—the largest gain since 2019.
