Conservative MP Billy Morin says the Liberal government has been trying to get him to cross the floor and join their party, but he does not intend to do so.
Speaking on a hot mic prior to a press conference on Parliament Hill on April 13, Morin asked reporters if they wanted to “run a story on floor crossing.” When asked if he would be the next MP to cross the floor, he replied, “No, they’re trying to poach me.” When a reporter noted that he was saying this in a room full of reporters, Morin replied, “Yeah, is that a surprise?”
