The Squamish Nation says it may challenge a recent agreement between Ottawa and the Musqueam Indian Band recognizing aboriginal rights within the band’s territory in B.C.

The federal government signed three agreements with Musqueam on Feb. 20, one of which recognizes its aboriginal rights within large areas of Metro Vancouver and areas at the mouth of the Fraser River under Section 35 of the Constitution Act.
